Install the New MuseScore 4.1 for Android

As we eagerly await the release of MuseScore 4.1.2, we are excited to announce that the Beta version is now available! With this new update, you can install and update MuseScore using our new Muse Hub installer application, which also comes with a brand-new orchestral plugin called Muse Sounds.

Although the current version is not yet updated to 4.1.2, users like us who have been using the old version (MuseScore 3.6.2) can still continue to use it until its expiration date. I recently downloaded the portable version of MuseScore 3.6.2 on July 31st, and I'm excited to see what's new in this latest update.

One feature that has caught my attention is the ability to load scores from MuseScore 4 into the mobile app, which would be a huge convenience for those who are used to working with both desktop and mobile versions of the software. Unfortunately, AnthemScore, another popular music notation app, requires payment and is no longer available, so it's great that MuseScore 4 addresses this need.

Another exciting feature in MuseScore 4 is the new mixer, which allows users to tune unsupported MIDI instruments and drum sounds. What's even better is that we can switch between the old and new mixers at any time, with two options available: 'Default' for the new mixer and 'Older' for the classic one.

I'm also looking forward to the built-in song transcription function, which would eliminate the need for additional software. Imagine being able to transcribe songs directly within MuseScore without having to install separate plugins!

As I tried out the Beta version, I found that reinstalling MuseScore 3.6 resulted in a failed installation. However, with MuseScore 4.1, everything seems to be working smoothly.
